A Lovely 'L-Shaped' bar |
This was our second attempt to find a pub near here after our last visit was aborted following a failed twenty minute walk around the locality! This time we headed in the opposite direction but stumbled on The Steamboat down a dark alley (where nobody goes)! It was the night before Valentines day but there were no plummy women to be seen, just lots of pictures of ships hanging from the walls. We bought some Scampi Fries (outdated!) and played a game of a pool which JJ won on the black ball.
We were impressed with the perfect 'L-Shape' bar but less so with the group of blokes who adorned it, each in turn trying their luck with the barmaid. JJ had a train to catch so missed the group of ladies who entered the bar later on. I was left nursing my pint and manfully battling a bout of man-flu. Less weakness post-marathon at King George V...
