Nice logs! |
After an abortive turning-left-mission and wandering around a fairly residential area, we eventually found this very large pub after a fair walk. As we left we noticed that it was marked as "Ember Inns", but we decided to utilise the "one strike and you're out" method for non-familiar chains and allowed it. The pub had a couple of levels with a large central bar. There were loads of tables and separate little drinking areas away from the big crowd of Saturday nighters that milled around the bar itself. The fake piles of logs scattered around and the ornaments and pictures in the alcoves should have given us a clue this wasn't your normal proper pub. It was pretty clean-lined and smart and you could imagine they probably would do £10+ steaks and scampi in the day. We decided to ogle some sorts whilst we took our time to sup up and then headed to Ruislip...
