Well located, cheap and cheerful |
The pub is over a little bridge and then right outside the station (which is fast becoming a rare sight the further we stray from central London). Unfortunately on climbing the steps out of the station I noticed we both had the same trainers on…. There is sad and there is sad… We entered the pub to meet our newest and oldest guests (20 and 1 respectively). Guest 1 took great pride in telling us that only 5 minutes before we arrived, a coach load of women on their way to a hen night had stopped off to cheekily use the facilites! We could only imagine what that would have done to the totty rating of this place!
We exchanged tales of our day (football/beer vs. shopping) before catching up on all the latest Fantasy Football news and transfer speculation. The pub itself was fairly small but very lively and full of ‘session drinkers’. Nothing much to write home about but worth a quick one if passing… if only to sniff out those hens! With further guests promised at the next pubs we hastily caught the next tube to Ickenham...
