OVERALL  On the edge of being a bar, but worth it for the ladies

With our hunger sated, our appetite for more MD stops and lovely girls was still ravenous. We discovered the Maze Inn by turning left of the the station. It looks like a restaurant from the outside with its lovely box hedges and water features and indeed half of it is. The Maitre De meet us at the door and showed us to the bar section (as opposed to the eating bit). Noting the nice ladies, we positioned ourselves tactically and soaked in the atmosphere with a nice beer. The place has high ceilings, with chandeliers hanging from the roof, mirrors on the walls and ceilings and swirly patterns picked out in pressed iron. Candles were on all the mock-marble tables and leather sofas abounded. On the way to the bogs there was a Turkish section all in red with low level tables and suitable other eastern accessories. Enough about the decor, this place is notable for one main reason and that is the amount of well heeled nice women that were here. Groups of what looked like they might have been wives of footballers from the Eighties were all over the place as the upper levels of Essex girl society were on their big night out. For some reason we decided to stay for a couple more before heading home. Would there be such bounties next time at Wood Green...?
