Mahogany Central! |
For our last pub of the evening we were after a proper mans pub where men come to talk over the issues of the day, drink beer and fabricate stories about the long list of women they have been with in their youth. This place seemed just the ticket. A pub for old blokes pub serving ales and the like. The pub was really what seemed to be a converted hotel and we were in the bar bit. There were some leather sofas adding to the very very wooden interior (walnut panelling everywhere) and a glass dividing wall separated us from what looked like an area for socials and the like (think an unused Phoenix Club). We put a couple of quid in the quizzer and initiated Guest 1 into the beauty of the Honey Pot, at which he showed some promising aptitude at the dropping into the pot game! We didn't win diddly squat despite this and vowed to get more honey next time at Cockfosters...
