We had been warned that this stop could be a little hairy and so it proved. Turning left out of the station and heading down the hill, we came upon the Elm Park which is located on a roundabout. A group of local chav kids sat outside on the pub tables, chatting away on their mobiles and generally trying to look tough. We dodged past them and headed into the bar itself. The place is cavernous with a large central bar and a very large drinking area (albeit not that many tables). The place is really West Ham with flags and pictures on the wall. Tim got the drinks whilst I got a table. The barmaid ignored him for a while and only served when there was no one else nearby. We watched amazed as a group of lads tried to set fire to each others hair out of boredom. We shook our heads and drank up quickly, dodged the diddy wannabe gangsters and headed to Upminster...
