We hated this pub! |
I had previously been to this pub to meet Guest 1’s new girlfriend and somehow they are still together! (A reflection on Guest 1’s choice of pub to introduce a new girlfriend to his mates, rather than the strength of their relationship!). It is a massive place with TWENTY TVs, some of which are in mini-booths which is quite a novelty.
On this Saturday night there were a number of Sarf London Yoofs all getting tanked up before going to stand by a corner shop and they really were most unpleasant. They drowned out our conversation and thankfully the awful music which was being pumped out to a three quarters empty pub as if it was midnight at a disco. JJ had had enough and spent most of the time relieving a fruit machine ..... of £25. Not even the sight of women dressed as schoolgirls was enough to tempt us to stay on and we were more than happy to tube on to Clapham South for a more salubrious atmosphere...
