After leaving the tube station and negotiating the rabbit's warren of an underpass system, we came above ground by a parade of shops facing the gyratory. Here can be found the Hunters Bar - heavy with garish neon lighting. The bar itself is made up of a number of various rooms with four (!) separate bars and a series of little rooms filled with leather sofas. Sports on the TVs and high stools at the bar makes the place seem like an American style bar - an observation made stronger by the cowboy style swinging "saloon" doors leading to the gents! Flags adorned the whole place and a big fish tank gave a mellowed relaxed feel. We enjoyed our drinks at a stop we had marked down as a quicky. Whilst exploring the place, we experienced a big group of Eastern Europeans, later revealed to be Polish enjoying some kind of meeting and shouting loudly at each other. A nicer surprise was two girls that we had seen in the last pub at Perivale who had obviously caught the MD bug and followed us here! Just as we were leaving the friendly barmaid (Polish?) came over and tried to interest us in the nightly roulette competition - score within 5 to get a free drink and then double or quits or red or black with exact number paying out a £50 jackpot! We were tempted, but White City awaits...
