We met our old friend Guest 4 and new Finnish Guest 19 and upon turning left out of the station, passing under the flyover, the Railway is across the road. "Open all day, every day"... and it looks it. What a dump. A large place with big roomy areas with lots of wood and some awful pink flock wallpaper which looked pre-war, the place didn't have much lighting on. A bunch of builders were in the main bar, so we went into the pool room - to the right. A couple of games of doubles pool later, we were ready to leave one of our most disappointing pubs so far (see later for how this CAN get worse!). Not the best of starts for our new guest and its a good thing he is not a female as this would've put a weaker willed drinker off for life. Hopefully better luck at Perivale...

Post Script: It has come to MD's attention that this pub has suffered an arson attack since we visited and is now closed for refurbishment. We would suggest razing to ground and starting again!

The pool shark gets ready to sting!
