OVERALL  We struck lucky, odds are you won’t!

With one of the other many famous quotes from the last pub resounding in my head ("Don't cry that it's over, smile that it happened") we found ourselves slipping in a quick pint after work at the local Shadwell station. The Old Rose was a fair old walk from the tube so check the link above if you want to re-trace our steps! It had the feel of a nice, old East End pub and it was clearly the dwelling place for a number of regulars who simply had to nod towards their 'usual' and say "sweet" whilst the barmaid presumably added the damage to their tab. We were mere visitors and had to pay outright for our expensive beers.

We headed through a small maze of doors and found our way to the large unoccupied beer garden which was bedecked with flowers. I settled down to a bit of beer talk ("what's it all about?" type stuff) whilst JJ jumbled on about our various completion stats for each tube line! Our minds suddenly joined in focus as 13 young ladies entered the beer garden with four bottles of wine between them. They certainly didn't take long to see the bottles off which may have explained the inordinate amount of flashing they were doing to us in their short skirts. We toyed with the idea of making a formal complaint against them, and even more about following them in a taxi to their next destination of Edgware. But common sense prevailed; we ordered another round and the banter continued. Bring on Greenford...

Right next to the station, we can revisit this one later...
