In spitting distance of the station, and well oiled with beers, we entered The Assembly House just as the Ozzie barman rang for last orders. We squeezed our order in and settled for a spot of intense people watching. This was clearly a night for female look-a-likes as we soon clocked a fake Gwyneth Paltrow. Next was a very breasty and extremely tattooed girl who looked like she could be extremely lively. There was also 4 students sat together but for the life of us we could not settle on the same top 4 ranking… I guess it depends on your take on frizzy hair or not. Then 2 foxy pop-ins did just that (popped in)… but only to wet the lettuce so sadly they could not sway the score. You’ve probably guessed by now that the pub had little to shout about (or criticise). It’s grand but bland and would surely be bettered at Pinner...
