| OVERALL | You’ll never, ever go to this station but the pub wasn’t bad! |
We were joined by a new guest today so the pressure was on to reflect Marathon Drinking in the best light possible. It was an awful start as it took a good twenty minutes to find the pub and in doing so we had almost walked all the way to Stratford! Directions are amazingly simple; left out of the station (keep walking) and right at the first t-junction (keep walking). It was a hot and dusty day and the numerous trading estates we walked past took me back to a poorly sited hotel complex I once stayed in at Tenerife. (Editors note: if we had in fact turned RIGHT out of the station, we could have saved ourselves a 30min walk, but the purity of the MD process must be maintained!!)
However, the pub was nice enough and the pint was most deserved (or 3 pints for those not driving due to a minimum charge for cards which Guest 16 just had to respect as he returned with twice what he went to order!). There was a big bar, a good Thai menu and a nice beer patio. The only question is whether Guest 16 would ever venture out for an MD experience ever again? If not, he’d stay firmly rooted to the “1 Cap Club”… Time for a proper crawl, starting at Mill Hill East…

Another happy guest debut - we need more
"closely cropped" guests please
