OVERALL  A unique but barely legal experience!

After a right out of the station and a longish walk along the High St we found "The Edge of Town" although it should maybe have been called "The Cusp of Legality" as it was staffed by very young adults! There were a couple of bar-boys who would only just about get served for liquor in the dodgiest of local 24/7 shops and they were ably assisted by a couple of young ladies, fresh from failing their GCSEs. JJ was most impressed to discover an area at the back of the pub which was a combined shrine to Celtic Football Club AND a gaming room complete with Poker table! I was more bemused by the clientele attracted by (one presumes) the bar staff..... a collection of old men who were mostly on their own. The most noticeable character was dressed in a blue shirt with bright red braces and he flooded the Juke Box with all of Jethro's biggest hit's including "Everybody wants to Kiss my Fanny". However, we could not fault the level of service from the barmaids, including the woman in hot-pants and a tight top who spent our visit excessively polishing our table and bending over to sweep non-existent rubbish off the floor. It was getting too much for prudish young men like JJ and I.... surely it was only a matter of time before Gary Glitter came in, arm in arm with his good mates Chris Langham and Pete Townsend? (editors note: this element is fictional speculation and any relevance to any persons living or dead is totally coincidental). Time to leave this part of town, but not before a most excellent stop for fish and chips at the "Sea Breeze" Fish and Chip shop (most recommended!). Burnt Oak beckoned us...

Go on, its 7pm....have a dance!

An artistic photo of the MD scorecard in action....and some "Daisy Dukes" on some passing Jailbait!!

In my mind, this DID happen! (we won 3-0, Barty Crouch hattrick and robodance)
