After the relative excitement of getting out of Morden in one piece, we needed a nice easy pub to get the evening going. Luckily as we exited the tube, there were two pubs right opposite the station. The Colliers Tup looked good, but on closer inspection proved to be a filthy Suffolk scum Greene King pub. Luckily, the Royal Standard was also closer! We walked through the nice U-shaped bar and straight out into the very nice beer garden. The usual picnic tables were supplemented nicely by the nice trees in the area. Tim got the beers in, to come back with a tale of an old bloke trying it on with the barmaid's mate. Good lad, hope he got somewhere. Guest 2 soon arrived and our ice chilled beers were enjoyed as Guest 3 played with a local cat - surprisingly, a not too manky one this time! The place was very pleasant, we adhered to the "Shirts must be worn" sign and only the masses of Greenfly made us move on to our next stop at Tooting Broadway...
