We took a right out of the station and went down London Road where we found The Crown and it's adjoining club "Escape". We were impressed by the huge bar which stretched almost the entire length of the pub but less than impressed by the lack of table cleaning action. Everything we placed on the tables stuck to them and judging by the rubbish left on the tables, the last punters had suffered with this too! Soppy music was being pumped out from behind the bar which seemed really inappropriate as the clientele were more "Kerrang" than "Magic FM". This is a pub where live music is a regular feature, both in the pub and the Escape Club. However, time was moving on and in the knowledge we were a man down (Guest 1 was recovering from a major verruca removal operation), we headed off to meet the next guest at Colliers Wood...

...such as a good punch-up at closing time
presumably...?
