The smell of 'Deep Heat muscle spray' was still in the air as I came hobbling out of the tube station proudly wearing my shiny medal. We took a right out of the station, walked along the High St and found our destination opposite Woolies. I definitely needed a seat to rest on so we duly found one and caught up with our international guest (in-between my tales of sporting achievement). The pub was a fairly hum-drum affair.... nothing to criticize but nothing to enthuse about. I had a lot of marathon titbits to pass on so it was time to move on and find a new arena for my ever keen listeners.... which was Swiss Cottage...

The start of a themed evening... yawn...
