For our last pub of the evening, we turned right out of the station and the large pub, The Falcon is at a split in the road. The place has two large bar areas and is one of the largest pubs we have been to. One of the bars is a little like a Bournemouth Hotel with its red ceiling and funny pumps. We sat right in the middle of the pub and mused over the wide variety of venues across the evening. The barmaid was convinced to open her till and sell us some Scampi Fries as we got peckish. Interestingly there had been 5 pubs in a row where Tim's Guinness had been cheaper or the same price as my drink, a very unusual occurrence as I normally have lager. We all took phone calls from various people and in the rush to leave and catch the last tube home, we forgot to take our customary "action" photos. We will have to come back here to get them.
So now begins a dry period for Marathon Drinkers. Once Tim crawls over that finish line and gets his breath back, we're back in business, so hope to see you all real soon at Finchley Road...!
