Very light pub, very warm and overtaken by the darts! |
| Facilities | 3 widescreen TVs, a fruity and Joker Poker | |
| Ladies | Extremely plain barmaid and an old woman |
| OVERALL | Fine enough but not quite worth the walk |
I'm not going to even try to describe the walk from the station except to say it’s a very long way but it is definitely the closest pub (having confirmed this with the barmaid). We would have drunk anywhere by this time but to be fair The Shawl was ok. The decor was VERY orange and an old 3-bar heater needlessly burned away. We contented ourselves to watch SKY Darts Night which is a trumped up new format showcasing the same old fatties throwing arrows but it made for a good atmos. The toilets looked and smelt like a sewer (not that this affected Guest 2 who is lacking any sense of smell at all) and we were ready to squeeze as many stops into the night as we knew it would be the last for a while. We stepped away from the oche and started the long trawl back to the station. Next stop Willesden Junction...
