OVERALL  The most fun we've had yet on an MD stop in an albeit average pub

The trick about a successful Marathon Drinkers night is knowing when you are onto a good thing, and in the Wishing Well we were. The pub is a left out of the station and across the road. It is snugly nestled between shops and is a stone's throw away from a Ukrainian delicatessens which was regrettably closed. On entry we were warmly greeted by the inebriated Irish barmaid who kept on shouting something about "tree seats". Not able to make sense of her we kindly accepted the three chairs she provided and ordered 4 pints. She had naively sat us next to a big box which was jam packed with beer mats for a forthcoming Fosters promotion. Unable to resist we ripped the cellophane off most of the packs of mats and I assumed the role of quiz master. What followed was a surreal list of questions which were tackled with the utmost of enthusiasm. So much enjoyment was being had that we took advantage of the "buy 9 pints, get 1 free offer", reloaded and continued the quiz. We now know that the albino crab is the rarest of all albinos across the species, and that a grizzly bear can run 100 yards in 6.4 seconds. The results of the inaugural beer quiz were:

To top a perfect night we finished off at the "Savoy chip shop" which was just across the road from the Wishing Well. Tipsy, well fed and intellectually stimulated. Could we top this experience at All Saints...?
