After the previous two pubs and then a tube delay to get to North Acton, it was not so great a start to the evening and so we were dying for an easy win. And here we found it, the pub is directly opposite the tube station, no effort required. Inside we were faced with a small forest's worth of wooden panelling with brassy fittings - your classic English "olde" pub. The pub is large with various seating areas. In fact the pub is fully circumnavigatable (especially confusing when drunk and trying to find toilets). Nice. With no barmaids at all and the young lad forgetting to give us any change, it wasn't the best of starts but the footy came on the big screen and things settled down a bit. The orange wallpaper darkens the decor even more than the stained wood paneling, and this place seemed to be a haven for the male type with just pockets of studenty type women. Nothing much else to report, so off to East Acton...
