 OVERALL  Quiz night, my arse

One more stop this evening and it was at the very nice stop of Warwick Avenue. Tim had been here recently and so had prior knowledge of the closest pub in-between the million dollar flats. The Warwick Castle is a nice looking pub with tables and a HUGE lamp outside. We entered to find that the local pub quiz was in full swing (well sort of, more later). A dog greeted us at the door, having obviously read the sign with the acceptable opening hours for dogs detailed that was posted outside. The quite cute young barmaid with the unfeasibly large belly sticking out over her jeans informed us that the Guinness was off and proved her dopiness by offering London Pride or John Smiths when asked about "other Stouts". A Magners was ordered for Tim and we stood at the bar expectantly waiting the next quiz question. Unfortunately it emerged that the belly was the only member of bar staff apart from the guvnor and so he had to keep popping behind the bar to serve people rather than asking the questions. During our stop only a paltry 6 questions were asked. Poor fare. Both bar staff looked worried as we made notes, but they had a saving grace when sandwiches were distributed for the quizzers free of charge. Tim had told us about the historical Taxi hut near the station exit as we arrived and I had informed them about a taxi driver's rights to urinate upon their nearside back wheel in public. After leaving we realised our own taxi would have been useful at that point, but there was no time for a pee stop, the MD year was over (or was it?) and bed was calling. Next time out, Tottenham Hale...
