After the excesses of the night before, an easy triple was just what the Doctor ordered and so we planned to meet at Kilburn Park. JJ and guest 5 made their way there and the (yet another) Prince Of Wales is right next to the station. A preliminary later and Tim arrived and the MD process could officially kick off. A classic U-bend design for the bar and black out blinds made us think of the war and the blitz spirit. Funnily enough, most the Irish clientele were both old enough to remember the war and had no doubt been blitzing spirits all afternoon! The design of the bar meant that the big SKY screens could show both the darts and the Arsenal v Donny Rovers match, with an exciting third minute goal for Donny making for an interesting match. The aged punters sat around the bar and I was given the standard eye-balling for wearing what is loosely termed business wear. The electric blue fly catcher gave an indication that they might have a bit of a pest problem although the bar flies themselves behaved very well despite their obvious inebriated state. In Boston there's a place where everyone knows your name. Here they know each other's names but not ours. A place for locals. On to posh Maida Vale...
