Thankfully this was the last pub of the evening because the beer had really hit home! This was another old drinking haunt for me having spent my first 18 months living in Southfields (official stat - there are more South Africans living in Southfields than in downtown Johannesburg). It had undergone a good deal of refurbishment along the way and a decent drinking hole was the result. We had been joined by yet another new guest, "Guest 15", who also goes by the name "Fingers" but the explanation given was far less satisfying than my imagination so I won't spoil it for you. As soon as we had we been served the lights came on for drink up! Somehow we managed to string this out for almost an hour and it was nearly midnight when we left! Once most of the normal punters had gone, the ladies maintained the interest of the head barman by asking numerous inane questions about beer pumps, and in return for placating them he was treated to a magic show I'm sure he hasn't forgotten (let's just say it involved corks and flipping coins). We thanked Barman Ben and staggered off to cock up our tube journeys home. Same again tomorrow at Kilburn Park...!

Ooooh Cold pump!

Magic fingers....
