This was a pub I had walked past for 6 years and never ventured in (take a left out of the station) but I will return. It was full of beered-up people chatting to each other and once we had made our entrance they were soon chatting to the friendly Guest 5. The rest of us debated as to whether the common phrase was to "kick eight bells out of someone" or some other numeric. We settled on "seven" but I'm not convinced, however I also cannot be arsed to look this up so I guess I'll never know. The kindly Guests 6 and 7 ordered what we though were their usual illegal snack items but God bless them, they were "Team Chips" (which is allowed). We were all amazed at the portions which were massive, making them literally "as cheap as chips". I had now forgiven them for serving Guinness in a Magner's glass and could leave a happy and hunger-satisfied man. East Putney beckoned...

Beauty and the beast.....

No chips!
