We arrived at Parsons Green and were immediately faced with the Novellos bar. Pumps identified this as a qualifier and tempted by the promise of Elvis playing this venue, in we went. Unfortunately Elvis had left the building and only returns on Tuesday and Thursdays at 8.30pm. Never mind, he lived on in the form of the senior barmaid, who sported a prominent hair-lip. Uhh huuu huuuA ! The place was divied up into two halves with the back section (behind Elvis's red velvet trimmed "stage") reserved for some fancy shirted ponces and some nice young ladies who couldn't possibly have been with them. We realised that this place had an attached Chinese on it (c.f. Lambeth North) and so Guest 5 ordered us two bowls of Prawn Crackers (no Tim, they weren't free). Welly nice, welly tasty! We found great pleasure in the free play jukebox which made this place a winner and took some team photos, could Putney Bridge live up to this...?
