The Lion is opposite the only exit to Archway station and it is as uninspiring inside as it looks from the facade. There was a fake-real fire burning inside, a few County Kerry flags and football on the TV. Fortunately we had decided to make this a flying visit. A white poodle continued the pet theme for the evening following the earlier appearance of a cat in one of the pubs. We drank with haste, forced the lady guests to down their wine and headed back to the tube. Its worth remembering that us Marathon Drinkers visit pubs such as this so that you don't have to. Onwards to Tufnell Park...
