 OVERALL  Worth a “gander”

JJ was looking forward to a stop at Walthamstow as he had previously been dogging here.  I had not ventured past Wimbledon greyhound track but I was more than ready to give it a go.  We took a right out of the main exit of the station and headed up the main street, trying to ignore the fact that the second appearance of a ‘Goose’ pub may represent the occurrence of a new and previously unknown chain.  Within minutes we were under the spell of the ‘£3 after 3pm’ menu and had ordered the bangers and mash which proved to be most enjoyable and great value for money.  We were also impressed by the adverts for reputable bottles of Rose for £5 but we dragged ourselves away and exited the pub.  In summary it seemed to resemble a Wetherspoons with the welcome addition of music, sport’s TV and atmosphere… quite enjoyable but not enough to keep us from heading to Blackhorse Road

The wonder of sausages, God's own food...
