Remember, remember the 4th of December….well we will after our visit to The Prince (100 metres left out of the station). We had been discussing that Goldhawk Road was one of the stations that you never notice and never usually have cause to visit but tonight was the night that this all changed! We were on our final stop of the evening and after the first two somewhat manicured pubs, this one had a gritty rawness to it. It was obviously the QPR footballer supporter’s local and was decked out with photos and memorabilia of the bygone glory days (!) of this one time great football club. The usual décor took second place to the themed Caribbean specials of paper parrots and palm trees. Posters instructed us to "shake our batty and wine up our waist", and the aging DJ blasted out reggae and party music to the enthusiastic crowd who were doing just that. JJ, (clearly a bit light headed after his whisky chaser) sang the virtues of a decidedly average barmaid while Guest 3 and myself contented ourselves with watching the old guys in their porkpie hats dancing the night away. Not a pub for everyone, but an interesting stop on our tour, which was soon to take us to Canada Water

This is an ex-Parrot. It does not exist. It has ceased to be.   etc etc etc .....
