With two distinct stations at Shepherd's Bush, we hoped the nearest pub would be between the two, and so it proved. Turning right out of the Central line station, this pub is on the right. When Fulham played at QPR, this was a pub to go to, decent machines and cheap beer. It has now had a makeover and is a very popular trendy bar. There is no hanging sign and no name on the outside, save a plaque. Things didn't look good.... With bouncers on the door, we made our way into the very busy inside. The bar is a 3 sided job in the middle and you can walk all the way around. Flabbergasted at the lack of any proper beers, I joined Tim for a Guinness, reliving my recent Dublin days. There was no room to sit and this was because the place was rammed. We found some floor space and the pumping tedious music eventually took a turn for the better, and we started to enjoy the scenery. No bones about it, this place has wan*er written all over it, fashion victims in their designer gear and neck scarves are abundant with the wine and trendy beer crowd. But of course, as is always the way, with wa*k comes women and this place is absolutely rammed with top quality young ladies to meet anyone's tastes or preferences. This place would be great for a night out if single (or looking!) and I cannot quite describe the inner turmoil I was suffering here. Surrounded by beautiful women, but in a place I otherwise didn't like at all. Anyway, luckily this is MD, not Tim and JJ's pulling tips (see our list of Upcoming Publications) and so we had to leave (dragging Tim kicking and screaming) to Goldhawk Road...

Oh, go on then, make it a double!

Oh God, it's up its own arse, but even I think this is cool
