On leaving work and descending the escalators at Canary Wharf we once again bumped into Guest 8 who is fast becoming the MD stalker. We exchanged pleasantries and boarded trains in different directions, our destiny being The Castle at Holland Park. We took a right out of the station and encountered a homeless dog who was bizarrely wearing a tie! (We assumed the dog was homeless as his owner certainly was, and if it wasn’t then the mutt had very poor standards of hygiene as the tie was quite shabby). One minute later we were inside The Castle and ordering our beers from the alluring barmaid. The pub had a nice feel to it and was clearly loved by the locals. There were a range of seats and sofas available, but JJ had made a bee-line to the mock snakeskin highchairs. We followed, shared banter and downed our pints before making the short journey to Shepherd's Bush…
