We
exited Bethnal Green tube wondering where we would end up, particularly as I had
5 ton of Euros in my satchel ready for my imminent holidays.
The bizarrely named Salmon and Bull allayed any fears of being mugged by
cockneys though. There was a party
atmosphere inside as most punters drank merrily on Magners cider (note a theme
appearing here with Magners and complete drunkenness).
We noted if our visit were to have been between 10am and 11am we could
have joined the other alcoholics for a £1 pint of Websters Green label! However, we are not (yet!) morning drinkers so we sat back
and people watched as we finished our final pint of the day, knowing it would be
a couple of weeks before we were next able to Marathon Drink at Island
Gardens Crossharbour.
