Yippee! a real East London pub, full of bigots and racists spouting their views on the World. We didn't stay long, but interestingly the words "FARWKING HELL!" or it's derivatives managed to make it's way into every sentence spoke by the locals during our stay. As we approached, a couple of drunken suits staggered out, obviously having a more important meeting to get to. The startled obligatory Chinese DVD seller tip-toed her way out as we arrived, leaving us with the colourful locals. These are the sorts of guys who spend their lives in pubs living one beer to the next, not really a great existence at all despite the immediate attraction of such a career. Four guvnors sat there putting the world to rights whilst the others sat and watched, seemingly not enough in the inner circle to be able to comment. This pub looks like a proper East End pub that survived the Blitz and looks out of place with the buildings around it. Some might say that it's survival is another thing Goerring and the Luftwaffe has to answer for. Our hope's weren't high as we headed to Bethnal Green....
