All comers welcome, chatty atmosphere |

On
leaving work we mentioned to a colleague our triple choice of pubs for the
evening and all he could muster was “it’s been nice knowing you!”.
We took a right out of the station and followed the main road around to
the junction where we turned left (our route back showed us that we could have
simply cut through the Stratford Shopping Centre).
Today was GSCE results day and we were hoping for expecting to
find the pubs swamped with young women clutching certificates in one hand and
glasses of cheap wine in the other.
On first glance in Ye Olde Black Bull it appeared we would be lucky until
a quick age check showed that the main clientele were actually university
students.
The pub was adorned in a plethora of fake fern trees and there was a very
greasy spoon style kitchen (sadly closed) on show in the corner of the pub.
A student filly mimicked the resident local builders with her show of
arse-crack but it was not enough to entice us for a second pint of cheap beer.
Destiny and Mile End beckoned…
