With a full complement of Guests in tow, we were hoping for a decent stop with minimal Thai food options! This pub was found by turning right out of the station and walking up the hill. This place looks and acts like a Wetherspoons and research showed that it had in fact been a Slug & Lettuce in a previous incarnation! Luckily, the landlady had seen fit to return back to being a good honest pub and therefore a qualifier! The home made pie and sausage of the day board were positives as usual and we settled down in some comfy sofas by the window watching the world pass by. An effort to pull in female punters has been made here with both Ann Summers nights (where Tim gets his "Tiger" pants from) and Ladies night on Thursdays. More interesting perhaps was "Toss the Boss" on a Friday!?! An amusing group of hikers that were designated as "Foreign Scouts" passed by to much hilarity as we watched the Squash on the Sky (no overlooking minority sports here!) and mused on our forthcoming trip to Chalk Farm...
