A large venue, so everyone spread out, but pretty good music |
| Facilities | 3 fruits, bowling machine, A Boomerang quizzer, widescreen SKY and another TV. | |
| Ladies | 3 reasonable European barmaids and half a dozen early twenties reasonables. |
| OVERALL | Something for everyone here |
A quick lunchtime trip to pick off the first of the Two Towers saw us at the popular watering hole, the Minories. After both having been here for Friday night drinking and dancing in the past, we pretty much knew what to expect here. The pub is large, split into two main bar areas and is underneath the railway arches giving it a unique Spartan feel. At this time of day, it was populated with young local office workers on their lunch break and tourists who had stumbled in from the Tower itself. A small box which looked like a Catholic confessional box turned out to be a booth for calling Taxis. Another room has sofas for chilling. This place caters for all needs, and also had a nice outside seating area with trestles. The friendly East European barmaids weren't enough to keep us from our crucial work duties and so we headed back from our whistle stop visit, soon to pick off the second Tower at Tower Hill.
