With a manly swagger we left the underground in search of Guest 4 who was returning for his second International cap (this puts some local guests to shame!). It had started to rain and we were struggling to find a pub - we were almost fooled into stopping at a derelict pub that was boarded up yet had well maintained window boxes full of flowers! Once inside we ordered our pints and soaked up the limited atmosphere. The pub was right on the road and the drone of car engines was noisy in the background. Behind the bar there was some strange tribal decor and the toilets were amusingly sign-posted as "The French Quarter". A local cat walked in but soon left when it realised it wasn't going to qualify for a cap without supping a pint with us, or maybe it would return to claim the coveted double-digit title of Guest 10? Who knows? We certainly knew it was time to move on in search of a bit more life at Pimlico...

Yes, it really was a traditional South London pub!
