OVERALL  Better than expected, a shopping pop in

As I didn’t expect to be Marathon Drinking I was still getting my head round proceedings when we arrived at the tube station and met Guest 5.  As we searched for the pub, flanked by five guests it suddenly dawned on me what a responsibility JJ and I carry on our shoulders.  There they were, wide-eyed and thirsty, like lambs following shepherds and it became clear that it would be a long time before any of these birds were able to flee the nest and find their own challenge.  Once inside, Guest 2 arrived and in the manliest voice he could muster ordered a J20 (pop), but he was fresh from giving blood, so for this pub he was excused.   Inside, the pub was no oil painting but there were some fairly impressive oil paintings spanning the walls to the ceilings.  There was also a stained glass coloured atrium and a plaque informing patrons that this had been the site of a pub for centuries, only becoming The Tottenham (previously the Flying Horse) in 1826.  Nothing else to report, except for JJ bumping into a tourist and spilling her pint and the exceptionally small bar staff.  One of the diddy glass collectors retorted when we posed in front of the bar entrance to take our pics “the entrance to the bar is the only way to get in and out”.  In truth she could have quite easily walked between our legs wearing a Stetson!  We could have sniped back but we were bigger than that (and her) so we buddied up and left in crocodile formation in search of Holborn.
