We sadly entered what was so obviously a T&J Bernard offering (later research revealed this chain to be are part of the Scottish and Newcastle brewery who also have the soulless Bar 38 in their stable). It was exactly opposite the main exit so we were left with no choice but to drink at the pub we love to hate! The humidity was rising but I decided not to remove my now trademark tie on as I couldn't cheat the camera of its usual shot. After upsetting the barman by querying the beer prices we put a deposit down for two pool cues and headed upstairs. This was in slightly better condition than the unkempt downstairs and was light and airy. I maintained a one point series lead (courtesy of the gaping pockets) as 2-1 on the night made 5-4 in total. Depressed by the vulgarity of the T&J Bernard stained glass windows we collected our deposit and looked forward to spending it at High Street Kensington.

A nice view of the underground entrance from upstairs, with no prostitutes on view at this hour!
