OVERALL  Grand. An identikit Irish pub playing drivel music but rescued by a great curry menu!

Things had to get better and we were both dying for the toilet so the last thing we needed was a heated debate about which pub was valid. I felt that we had found our venue (I could see the beer taps) but JJ steadfastly refused to drink in a pub that had re-branded itself into a '.co.uk'. In the spirit of Marathon Drinking I relented.... a decision which I did not regret. This turned out to be the perfect fake Irish bar and it wasn't part of a chain! Even more exciting was the good value curry menu which we obviously sampled.... and it seems the curries were made to order at the Indian restaurant next door. Impressive! I could at this point review the ladies toilets (my fault for not knowing the name for 'ladies' in Gaelic!) but there is sadly not enough space here. I could also mention more about the beer garden which we didn't have time to fully explore. I can't however ignore the music they allowed to be piped in...a bar playing Martine McCutcheon followed by the theme from Titanic and then Toni Braxton shouldn't be this good.... but it was! Buoyed by the craic we decided to squeeze another cheeky one in at Charing Cross.
