Not very tangible, pleasant enough though... a solitary church candle burning away and some naff dance music |
| Facilities | One large screen TV! | |
| Ladies | A severe looking blonde barmaid and a handful of smart suits |
| OVERALL | Would pop in if passing, but certainly not in a rush to pass by anytime soon |
Typical - the biggest downpour of the challenge and there isn't a pub in site! After much consternation and a wet circumnavigation of St Paul's Cathedral we found The Centre Page which is very close to the Millennium/Wobbly Bridge. Guest 3 (cap 3!) returned to join us in welcoming Guest 5 as our second female Marathon Drinker. As if by coincidence we ended up sitting in a booth labeled 'Trap 5' (although where I come from, a trap is something normally sat on when your trousers are round your ankles!). Obviously oblivious to the pain and embarrassment we normally have in eeking beer prices out of bar staff, Guest 5 showed no fear in marching to the bar, informing the barman (Fred) that we were Marathon Drinkers and there to review his pub! He even provided her a full itemised receipt on demand! Why didn't we think of this approach 29 pubs ago!? As for the pub itself, except for our guests commenting that it was "female friendly" (which isn't normally one of our considerations) there isn't very much to say.... which was why we saw the last drop off and tubed to Chancery Lane.

Guest 5 makes her first MD appearance
