Slightly smoky and just some fellas watching cricket |
| Facilities | Very good, two large SKY screens, 2 smaller TV's. a jukebox, 2 fruits, cash machine, dartboard and a pool table (£1.00)! Just missing a quiz machine really | |
| Ladies | No barmaid, one OK woman in a suit, one bad woman in a green suit |
| OVERALL | Fine for a typical East London pub |
Just time for a cheeky couple after work, so we headed to Old Street. The station has many exits and after a rejection of two possibles as non-qualifiers, we stumbled upon the Angel, best reached from exit 14. This is an old style East London pub and is quite big and airy. We ordered our pints and Tim immediately raised the barman's suspicions when querying about the price of individual pints. We quickly made our way upstairs to the upper bar. Here we found the nice combo of a pool table and a small outside beer "garden". A quick game of pool later (JJ win) and we headed back downstairs to do our marking. The barman was still on tenterhooks, so I deliberately taunted him by obviously making notes, we supped up and left the now-paranoid vendor, and headed off, eager to get to Angel before hometime.
