After leaving the tube station there wasn't really much in sight. This is a busy road with offices on either side of it. However, in the distance we could see what looked like it might be a bakery or something. On closer inspection, it was the rather nicely-named Sea Horse pub. We instantly added 233% to the clientele by entering the pub, so it was no wonder the elderly barmaid greeted us with a smile! We gathered our pints and sat in one of the nice bay windows that run the length of this pub. We found the freeplay jukebox, and put on some tunes and the place bucked up a bit in our estimation (despite the spartan choice of tracks available - do they really think that many suits listen to busted and mcfly ??!!?). Apart from that, there was nothing to really commend this place - until the pissers were visited. Nice "Sea Horse" tiles on the wall led down to the gents, where a nice retro surprise was in store. Both myself and GUEST1 really liked the old-style urinals, reminding us of football grounds long demolished (and vale park). Although it was a good experience, the fact that the toilets were the only thing to talk about tells you a lot about this pub! Hopefully we would find more liveliness at Blackfriars....
