OVERALL  A good performance by the Zetland, could have been better if we'd had time to review.

A absolute shocker as the Zetland becomes the Marathon Drinkers pub of choice at South Ken. The early money had all been on the Hoop and Toy being the place to visit, but as a JJ stomping ground, Tim had the final say and the Zetland is just visible from the tube exit, something which cannot be said of the Hoop & Toy. Also no "Circle Liners", which is always good. We only had time for a very quick visit of about 10 minutes, but the old favorite did well. The women were good, studenty types, who I am sure would have been worth re-analysis given the time, but the three hefty barmaids really dragged down what would be a good score. The facilities could have been better as there have been more fruits and tv's here in the past. Still, the Zetland's main selling point is , of course, The Bosphorus, London's premier kebab house and site of a million visits. We didn't have time to savor the experience as much as usual, but the Spicy Kofta and plain Kofta were as gorgeous as the first day I had them. God bless the Bosphorus and all who sail in her!

As a post script, we made it to the game about five minutes late and found we had missed the best bit, which was the teams coming out. The game was a shambles and typical of the poor fare served up by the Cottagers this season. Let's hope they keep it up at the weekend and Norwich thrash 'em to stay up!

Our next trip was the next day, when we popped to Aldgate East...
