This was turning into an evening of Taverns, the second being the Royal Court Tavern which is diagonally opposite the main exit to Sloane Square. Doubts were cast on the eligibility of this venue for fear it was too poncy but after referring JJ back to the rules he reluctantly agreed to enter. This "pub" was pretty underwhelming in most respects so we were relieved to be pushed for time. Local Sloanes propped up the bar and a ropey barmaid resided behind. Given it's size (large and airy) and location we were sure that this would be a very different bar on a Friday evening, crammed full of local "sorts", but what we saw is what we got and we weren't hanging around. South Kensington and the sweet smell of kebab meet drove us "forwards not backwards"...
