This was the penultimate day before the UK general election so we decided to do some electioneering of our own... spreading the good word of Marathon Drinkers everywhere. We were on a tight schedule due to having tickets for a football match later that evening so we headed straight from work to Westminster and Stephen's Tavern (almost immediately on your right as you exit for Westminster Bridge). This was a luxuriously decorated pub with chandeliers, wrought iron stools and royal green leather armchairs... straight out of the Houses of Parliament! There was a decent upstairs with a nice balcony view over the pub. Whilst the facilities could only be described as tables and chairs, the locale of being on Westminster Bridge more than made up for this - Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and more red London busses than you could shake a stick at. Next stop, St. James's Park.
