 football fans, lots of them
Facilities  good, especially given the limited space, the pool room, 3 fruits, sky tv, golf game, itbox
Ladies  barmaids arses apart, there were no other women in the pub!

OVERALL  Might be the longest, but its also one of the thinnest. Would probably be worth a visit on a non-footy night

To guest 1's disappointment we arrived at Paddington, rearing to continue what was turning out to be a good start to the evening. After leaving the main exit at Paddington we looked up and down the street. With no pub in sight, a look over the road revealed to us the Dickens Tavern - the self styled "longest pub in London". Now this was more like it! With excitement we entered and scoped the pub. Long? I guess so, but I must say I was disappointed. It was in effect 4 rooms end on to each other with the two rooms closed to the door having bars and the last room being a pool room with 4 tables! The pool room was a great feature (needless to say, we didn't bother trying to try it on with the locals - winner stays on, Brett Anderson from Suede!!), but the rooms were pretty thin with not much room to manoeuvre. This became even more obvious as the footy fans turned up to watch the chelscum v Liverpool champions league game and everywhere we stood, we were obstructing someone's view of the sky. Apart from the pool room, honorable mention has to be made of the barmaids. Whilst the boat races were nothing to write home about and they were of the obligatory east European descent, two top quality arses meant some time was spent lingering at the bar. In addition, I am fairly sure they mispriced our Foster's, but who was I to argue!? Overall not a bad place and we probably caught it at a bad time because it was so busy, but nothing special here unless you wanted to play pool. We gathered our gear and headed off to our next destination, Bayswater.
