For our final destination of the evening, we went down into the cellar type pub called the Bishop of Norwich, right by the station. As we queued at the bar, we had our first experience with a tipsy punter. Tim's height had attracted attention from a guy rather worse for ware, who proceeded to destroy me for only being 6'2", obviously a maggot compared to the 6'4" guvnors. We agreed that this was the case and after getting our drinks, we went round the other side of the bar and got a table. This was standard Davy's fare, with sawdust on the floor and "pewter" jugs of beer. However there were NO facilities at all. Not even a cheeky fruit! My beer was fecking awful and I had to really fight to uphold the laws of Marathon Drinkers and finish it. The lighting was candlelight styley and there were some lovey-dovey couples around. After having had a few beers, we got a little excited at some nipple action at the table behind us, but we decided to call it a night. Our first evening and we had knocked off 4 stations in just over 2 hours. Not a bad start, but we will have to really keep our concentration up and hammer our way through Zone 1 as quick as we can, starting next week at Baker Street....
